Fusing & Slumping 1: 4 Week Class

Learn the art of kiln-formed glass by cutting, combining and molding cold glass in multiple forms to create functional or custom glass art objects. Projects in this class are designed to give students a well rounded understanding of flat glass techniques. Students in the class will learn about the tools, glass and kiln to work independently in the warm studio.

Warm Shop F1 SM Kiln

All clients are required to pay for any rentals or classes/workshops if notice of cancellation is not given more than 2 Full Business Days prior to the visit, in order to allow us to make the rental or class/workshop available to others. For weekend reservations, cancellations must be made by 5pm the Thursday prior.

Early cancellations (at least 2 Full Business Days notice) will result in an account credit only. Please contact the business if you wish to request a refund, which may be given conditionally at the discretion of the Public Glass staff.

Public Glass

Since 1997, Public Glass has been San Francisco's only public access glass studio and school. As a 501(c)3 arts organization located in the Bayview/Hunters Point neighborhood of San Francisco, our outreach includes a full curriculum of glass courses taught by local and nationally recognized artists, as well as programming for under served youth and adults, corporate group experiences, events, and exhibitions. More and more the new and unexpected experiences that we offer are becoming a known and positively regarded part of the Bay Area arts landscape.
