Make a Leather Bag; Tote Bag, Messenger Bag, or Purse.

make a tote

Spend a day in the Moxie & Oliver studio and go home with a purse or bag you made yourself! No prior experience with leather, or art, is required.

We will start you off with a pre-cut bag pattern of your choice from one of our original bag patterns. You can choose a tote bag, small crossbody purse, shoulder bag, messenger bag, wine tote, bucket bag or messenger bag. During this class students will learn about vegetable tanned leather and adding design that is color-fast and permanent to your piece. Students are encouraged to bring sketches/ideas of what they would like to add to their bags. Students will hand-stitch their tote bags and set rivets for the straps, and go home with a completed piece.

Our classes are small (four to six students) and held in our Kenmore area working leathercraft studio. Come ready to learn, and to become thoroughly addicted to your new hobby! Come with questions, and leave with your very own bag that you made yourself!

Finished dimensions for each bag:

Tote Bag measures 11″ by 13″ by 4″

Purse measures 10″ wide by 7.5″ tall by 3″ deep

Crossbody Bag measures 10″ tall x 2.5″ deep by 7″ wide
