Construct your own leather messenger bag in this full-day workshop!
During this full-day workshop participants will design and create their own vegetable tanned leather messenger bag. No prior experience is necessary. Students will start with a pre-cut piece of leather to personalize with their choice of pattern and color. Students are encouraged to bring sketches and ideas of the design that they wish to put on the messenger bag. Students will learn about working with vegetable tanned leather and how to add pattern and color permanently to this unique material. Students will hand-stitch their bags and set rivets for the straps, and go home with a completed piece.
The finished tote dimensions are approximately 11″ long x 8″ tall x 2″ deep
Our classes are small (four to six students) and held in our Kenmore area working leathercraft studio. Come ready to learn, and to become thoroughly addicted to your new hobby! Come with questions, and leave with your very own messenger bag that you made yourself!
Registrations for classes cannot be cancelled once made. If you cannot make your class time you can reschedule at no cost up to two (2) weeks prior to the class. In the rare event that a class is cancelled due to instructor illness or inclement weather, a make-up class will be scheduled or students may transfer their registration to another scheduled class with available space. Class registration fees are non-refundable.
