You will have the opportunity to paint a variety of subjects: landscapes, animals, plants, national parks, birds, sailboats, still lives. We will delve into some of the alternative techniques acrylics has to offer: washes, layering, dripping, sponging, spraying, textured mediums, collage, etc! Supply list (please bring to class): PALETTE 12×16 disposable palette (With individual palette paper sheets), RUSHES Long handled brushes (preferably). White Nylon or Taklon, Rounds #2 and #4, Filberts or Flats (Preferably Filberts)- #2, #5, #8, 3-6 Canvases ranging in size from 12″x16″ to 24″x36″- can be purchased individually, as the class progresses (you can start with smaller sizes between 12″x16″ and 16″x20″), 2 large jars – glass or plastic, the size of a large jelly or large peanut butter jar, Paper Towel Roll, 2B or 4B pencil, Pencil sharpener, Eraser.
