“Watercolor Workshop” is a pleasant introduction to watercolor painting for anyone who enjoys color and wants to experience the joy of watching a painting of your own happen. This workshop is even for those who’ve never painted in the past. In this class, students will learn by playing with color while creating beauty – even if you have never picked up a paint brush before!
By the end of the class, students will take home a variety of vibrant, fun paintings that you have created for yourself.
Lonni Flowers’ teaching style will lead you to discover how colors blend and change, what colors enhance each other, and how to apply washes, glazes, and various techniques to create beautiful pictures. In this Seattle watercolor class, she will demonstrate and then allow students to practice creating while she moves around the room to give lots of individual instruction and encouragement.
Materials & Supplies: You may bring whatever watercolor supplies you happen to have, but if you don’t have anything, don’t worry. You can purchase a kit in class for approximately $26, from a representative of Artists and Craftsman Supply. You don’t have to go to the store; they will bring kits to the first class meeting, for folks who want to buy them. The kit includes a set of watercolor tube paints, a palette for mixing, several useful brushes, and a book of watercolor paper.
Price includes a $10 registration fee.
