Each year brings many changes in laws, regulations, and court interpretations affecting employers. Employment Law Update will review recent changes and other relevant employment law updates. The course will include a question and answer period where you can explore subjects of particular interest in individual situations.
After completing this course, participants will be able to:
Identify the most important case law, statutory, and regulatory developments in the areas of wrongful discharge, wage and hour, discrimination, employee privacy, medical leaves, workers compensation, workplace safety, and unemployment compensation occurring during the preceding six months.
Develop and prioritize strategies to address these recent developments.
Identify available resources to assist in legal compliance.
Requests for cancellation received at least 48 hours prior to the class date will be accepted and the class fee will be refunded in full. For cancellations received within 48 hours of the class date, and for participants who fail to attend the class, no refund will be issued.
