Understanding Legal Issues for Supervisors and Managers

Placeholder

Supervisors and Managers are not only responsible for ensuring efficient operation of their work groups (within the bounds of company policies), they are responsible for compliance within a wide range of complex laws and regulations.

Understanding Legal Issues for Supervisors and Managers is designed to assist supervisors and managers in identifying situations in which statutory or contractual legal mandates or restrictions will affect their course of action and to determine whether additional assistance is required.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify relevant areas of the law that may apply to the situation given a fact pattern
  • Determine whether it is necessary to seek guidance or advice from their supervisor, a human resources professional, or attorney after receiving a complaint or request for assistance from an employee

Requests for cancellation received at least 48 hours prior to the class date will be accepted and the class fee will be refunded in full. For cancellations received within 48 hours of the class date, and for participants who fail to attend the class, no refund will be issued.
