I took the Seattle Barista Academy 4 days training course starting from Jan. 12, 2015. I have two goals when entering the class: learning basic barista skills to understand the working flow in the coffee shop, and gain any knowledge of roastery business on which I want to build up my startup. After the 4 days' class, I would say I completely accomplished the goal with the tremendous help from trainer Alexa and Owner Robert/Bob.

This course is a must for anyone wanting in-depth instruction in Barsta training and running a shop. This well rounded course offers a great balance of classroom time and what I call "Lab time" to develop and hone your skills. The instructors and owner are fabulous! I now believe I have the skills to be a Barista and run my shop. I'm proud to be a graduate of the SBA and will use them in the future to aid me when needed!

It was a wonderful learning experience - I went in Tabula Rasa and came out with a wealth of knowledge - The instructor was excellent; the staff was wonderful and helpful; I signed up for the five day course and each night I wondered what more could I learn - there was always more to learn. Day three was the tour of Seattle coffee shops it was the highlight for me for two reasons: 1) I have never been to Seattle and 2) I was fortunate enough to meet Howard Schultz. I recommend this training to anyone a weekend or a week it will be GREAT!
