Seasonal Cooking Class & Market Tour


This cooking class takes place in Pike Place Market’s Atrium kitchen. We start off with our featured Chef taking you through Pike Place Market to grab seasonal ingredients for the meal. The group will culminate in the Atrium to cook a three course meal together. The class format is a hybrid between demonstration and hands-on to get the maximum value of the teachings. The experience includes snacks and a three course meal; starter, main course and dessert. Menus change based on seasonal availability of local ingredients.

Our chef team believes in eating real food, full of color and flavor. We design an experience that is decadent, informative and fun. Eat Seattle keeps class-size small so that everyone receives specialized attention and absorbs the full experience.

Menu – May 19th and June 2nd with Chef Jay

Snacks: Wild Alderwood King Salmon & Beecher’s Cheese

Starter: Summer root veetables salad, Pumpernickle soil, Raspberry vinaigrette

Main: bbq’d Salmon, Green Mango Salad, Herb Puree

Dessert: Rhubarb compote, Coconut Sponge Cake, Tonka bean ice cream

Menu – June 16th with Chef Eric

Snacks: Wild Alderwood King Salmon & Beecher’s Cheese

Starter: Chilled English Pea Mint Soup. Roasted Spring Onion. Balsamic drizzle

Main: Stuffed Chicken with Roasted Shallot and Beecher’s Cheese Curd. Blackberry Red Wine Reduction. Rosemary Smashed Potatoes
Dessert – Rhubarb struesel cake with lemon glaze

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. It rains often in Seattle so we keep all tours operating regardless of the weather. Fortunately, a good deal of the tour is covered.

Eat Seattle's hands-on cooking class experience consists of a tour through the famous Pike Place Market where the chef will explain the local and seasonal produce as he/she selects the ingredients for the menu being cooked. The group ends up in the beautiful Atrium kitchen in the market where the chef instructs the preparation of the menu; providing tips on cooking techniques, information about the meal and tidbits of Seattle’s history. We then sit down to indulge in our gourmet dishes. All ingredients used are sourced in the Northwest and 100% organic. The menus are thoughtfully designed to learn new techniques, maximize seasonal flavors and inspire your inner-chef to replicate these recipes at home.
